On November 5th, Party Secretary Sun Yufeng and Dean Wang Liming of the School of Information and Communication Engineering at North University of China led a delegation to the School of Electronics and Information(SEI) for research and exchange. Party Secretary Hou Jun, Dean Zhang Xunying, and Vice Deans Yao Rugui and Tao Mingliang from SEI participated in the symposium. The meeting was chaired by Hou Jun.

Hou Jun first extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He expressed hope that this research exchange would serve as an opportunity to further build consensus on development, deepen the substance of cooperation, and establish a solid foundation for long-term collaboration in the future.
At the symposium, Tao Mingliang provided a detailed overview of the history, current development, and future plans of SEI. He highlighted the school's distinctive strengths and representative achievements in the field of aerospace information. Chen Youxing, Vice Dean of the School of Information and Communication Engineering at North University of China, introduced their disciplinary structure, teaching system development, and research directions, emphasizing its specialized programs and accomplishments in talent cultivation.
During the discussion session, both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics including undergraduate advancement, graduate student training, faculty-student integrated branch development, organized research initiatives, and the recruitment of high-level talent. They reached a cooperative consensus on sharing high-quality teaching resources and jointly enhancing the quality of graduate education. Both sides affirmed that the visit yielded fruitful outcomes and expressed their commitment to accelerating the implementation of cooperative initiatives.
Zhang Xunying delivered concluding remarks, stating that both parties belong to the national defense research system and serve the strategic needs of national defense. The SEI will actively implement the cooperative consensus at this meeting, accelerate the establishment of a regular exchange mechanism, and forge a cooperative model characterized by long-term stability, complementary strengths, and mutual benefit, contributing to the development of disciplines and talent cultivation in China's information and communications engineering field.
